About
Brought up with my sister in a small provincial town in post-war France, I returned to Bordeaux where I was born, to study Literature and Journalism at University. After working as a journalist in Paris, I came to live in London, married a talented artist and started a long career as a teacher, later re-training as a counsellor. I have one daughter and two grand-children.
BRINGING UP my daughter was the great joy in my life, as I re-invented motherhood and could at last watch the blossoming of a joyful child.
My own attempts to find love and build a family with a man,-explored with good energy and humour in my first book:TWO'S COMPANY-, were unsuccessful. They revealed, however, the fated consequences of traumas that my mother, desperate to make up for her own early years of abandonment, was trying to hide, as well as maintain something that looked like a good, proper, and 'normal' family life: more lies... My own life and later career were and are dedicated to discover and live the truth, creating a campaign project (THE PROMISE) for the protection of children within their families and early environments in my second memoir: THE PRICE of SILENCE.
